I used to do this job manually.
Before building Planr, I worked for a company covering building work and windows and doors, where part of my job was finding potential new work through local council applications.
I would spend hours searching council websites, reading through applications, identifying projects that looked relevant and gathering the details needed to contact the homeowner.
I would then put together letters for the people behind those projects. My boss would sometimes drive to the property and hand-deliver the letters himself, especially when he was already nearby for another job or quote.
And we won work this way.
The problem was not whether the method could work. The problem was the amount of time and manual effort it took.
So I built Planr to automate the part I used to do manually.
